When I am
designing our green cabin, I met some things which are challenge for me to do
and they are the following:
- It is a lit bit hard for me to get an idea to design what our green cabin should look like.
- It is challenge for me to summarise all the information I found from the Internet.
- It is challenge for me to correct the size of all parts of the green cabin as well.
- I think that designing and drawing all parts of the green cabin and joining them together accurately is a big work for me because there are more than 30 parts of our green cabin.
- It is also a little bit challenge for me to make sure that the sizes of all parts of the green cabin are accurate.
- It is challenge for me to think about where I should put the light and what shape my roof should be.
what is a green cabin/building?
A green
building refers to both a structure and the using of processes that are
environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s
life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance,
renovation and demolition. In other words, green building design involves finding
the balance between homebuilding and the sustainable environment.
A green building is designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by: Efficiently using energy and water. Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation. A green building brings a vast array of practices, techniques and skills together to reduce and ultimately eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. |

how does our product provide solution to problems?
- The semicircular roof of the house is able to easily let the rainwater or snow roll down the roof so that the roof will not be covered with water or snow which is good for reducing the load of the roof and extend the lifecycle of the roof.
- When the solar panels are put on the roof, it will be easier for the solar panels to absorb more sunlight and generate more electricity because the roof’s design can increase more chances that the included angle between solar panels and the sunlight is 90°.
- The colour of the roof which is black in colour is also good for the solar panels to absorb more sunlight.
- The high roof design can reduce the heat that gets in the house from the ceiling in summer. Because the roof might absorb too much heat from the sun in summer and the high roof design can offset this.
- The ceiling design is good for harvesting the rainwater because of the baffles around the edges of the ceiling.
- We have designed plenty of windows in the house so that the house is able to get enough sunlight in day time and in this way, people live in this house will be able to save a lot of money.
